Army Cadet College (ACC) Entry

For serving soldiers, sailors, and airmen to become commissioned officers

The Army Cadet College (ACC) Entry is a special recruitment scheme in the Indian Army designed for serving personnel—soldiers, sailors, and airmen—from the Army, Navy, and Air Force to become commissioned officers. It is not a direct entry for civilians; candidates must be currently serving in the armed forces.

10+2 or equivalent

Both married & unmarried

Medical Category

Maximum 3 chances

No more than one red ink entry in service record, none in last one year.

Selection Process

1

Written Exam (ACC Exam)

Four papers: General Mental Ability, Current Affairs, English, Academic Content Test.

SSB Interview & Medical

5‑day SSB followed by medical examination.

Duration

4 years total

Phase 1

3 years at ACC Wing, Dehradun

Phase 2

1 year at IMA, Dehradun

Final Rank

Lieutenant

Stipend: During training, candidates continue to receive salary of last held rank.
